We have just received the unfortunate news that American Basketball Legend, Kobe Bryant, was killed this afternoon in a helicopter crash along with four other people.

The helicopter that Mr. Bryant was traveling in slammed into a hillside in Malibau, Los Angeles County, USA.

The crash took place in the city of Calabasas in the Santa Monica Mountains – about 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.

The famed basketball star was 41 years old at the time of his death which will bring great sadness to his millions of fans.

Kobe Bean Bryant was born on August 23rd 1978 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. During his 20-years career, he played with the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association in the USA and won 5 NBA Championships. He is regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time.
