Bogota, Sept. 21 (EFE) .- A 5.2 magnitude Richter earthquake was felt on Saturday in several parts of Colombia, but for the moment there is no information on casualties, according to the country’s Geological Survey (SGC).
“Seismic event at 7:36 pm (local time) of magnitude 5.2,” the SGC indicated in its Twitter account.
In an updated newsletter, the organization indicated that the telluric movement had a “depth of 151 kilometers” and that the epicenter was in the municipality of Los Santos, in the department of Santander, in the northeast of the country.
In a first scan by authorities to rule out possible casualties or property damage, it was assured that the quake was felt by the population of the northwestern Antioquia departments: Cundinamarca, Quindio, Risaralda, Caldas, Tolima and Boyacá (center); Bolivar, Cesar and Cordoba (north), Casanare (east) and North of Santander (northeast).
