With a cold war ensuing between Venezuela and Colombia and the Rio Treaty invoked against Venezuela, it seems as though the stage has been set for military action against the Maduro Regime. And all that’s needed now is for Colombia to fire one bullet across the border to Venezuela and cry foul. Once Venezuela responds to the attack, the 21 member states which signed the Rio Treaty will pledge military support against the Maduro Regime.

And of course, the United States will fulfill its repeated promises of sending US forces to support Colombia. But it’s not that simple. More than likely, US forces will start bombing and invading with the ultimate goal of dismantling the Maduro Regime.

It seems like the Trump administration is getting increasingly desperate to remove Maduro from power. As we’ve mentioned before, the clock is ticking. And we believe that Venezuela’s unfolding cryptocurrency, the Petro, has something to do with the United States’ growing desperation to remove Maduro “imminently.”

We’re waiting to see if the Colombian military is stupid enough to break the brotherly ties that has united the two countries for decades. Colombia has so far welcomed over 1 million Venezuelan refugees, and there is a plethora of ongoing cross-border activities between the two countries. But here it becomes a question of what defines Venezuela: Maduro’s government or the US backed opposition?

Colombian President, Ivan Duque, is accusing Maduro of plotting with rebels to bomb Bagota, and Maduro is accusing Ivan Duque of plotting with the United States to overthrow his government.

And we’re waiting to hear Russia’s response to this whole matter – which has so far been repeated warnings to the United States – which apparently has fallen on deaf ears.
