Last updated: April 29, 2021 at 23:45 pmThe recent bill drawn up by Germany to hand to China for coronavirus reeks of absurdity. But it also reeks of bullyism and extortion. And so does the case of the two US lawyers drawing up billion dollars lawsuit against China for coronaviurs. But it doesn’t stop there. Donald Trump has also indicated that he intends to bill China for a “higher amount than Germany” for coronavirus damages.
Donald Trump is contending that China could have done more to contain the spread of coronavirus around the world. Like what? Shut down US airports and flights to US from around the world?
Further what could Trump have done to contain the coronavirus in his own country? And what did he do? He seems unable, for the leader of the most powerful country in the world, to stop the spread of coronavirus from killing hundreds of thousands of US citizens.
But Trump seems unable to decide on the grounds for fleecing China. At one time he said that China had created the virus in a lab and released in on Chinese people to “prove that China was better at fighting contagious disease than the United States.” The only thing that sounds more ludicrous than that is telling US citizens to drink lysol to kill the coronavirus.
Recently the African country Nigeria has also joined the band of pirates claiming that they will sue China for coronavirus damages.
Yes, China has money, but they got that money by working for it. While Nigerians were busy pioneering internet scams, the Chinese were busy pioneering life-changing computer programs. Only a few decades back, everyone scoffed at the Chinese people because of their willingness to do hard labor for low wages when the United States moved thousands of their factories to China. Now they are crying foul that Chinese have copied their technology and are beating them in the trade war. The Chinese have a work culture, and I discussed that in my article, “The Rise of China.”
Now, the western world with envious eyes glutted on the well gotten wealth of China, wants to get some of that money by illicit means. An attempt as flagrant and outrageous as this is nothing short of attempted extortion and bullyism and can only be answered in the battlefield. Thankfully, China has invested a good part of its earnestly acquired wealth into the Chinese military – which is capable of standing up to the entire Western World put together.
And this is not to mention the backing of Russia and Iran. Let’s wish Donald Trump, Nigeria and the entire band of pirates good luck in extorting money from China. They will need it.
Update: 29th of April, 2021. (One Year Later). Needless to say, no one is breathing a whisper about suing China anymore. I wonder what happened? I guess they woke up. And as for Donald’s “China Bill,” well, it seemed to have ducked.
