Brazilian actor, Eduardo Galvão, died on Monday night (7th of December, 2020), victim of Covid-19. He was 58 years old.

The celebrated actor had been admitted to the ICU of Hospital Unimed Rio, in Barra da Tijuca, since the end of last month. Last Tuesday (1st), he had been intubated because of complications from the disease.

Early this Tuesday (8), actor José de Abreu gave the information on his Instagram.

Galvão had been hospitalized since the end of November due to the novel coronavirus. The information of his hospitalization was confirmed on the last 27th of November, 2020, by the actor Stepan Nercessian, Galvão’s friend.

The actor’s last work on Rede Globo was the soap opera “Bom Sucesso,” from 2019. Galvão debuted on TV in the soap opera “O Salvador da Pátria,” in 1989, and one of his most memorable works was with the presenter Angélica, in children’s series “Caça Talentos,” shown between 1996 and 1998, with exactly 500 episodes.

Galvão also worked at SBT, where he worked on “As Pupilas do Senhor Rector” (1995) for Record, having made the sitcom “Avassaladoras: A Série” (2006) and “Apocalipse” (2017); Band, where he acted in the soap opera “Dance, Dance, Dance” (2007); and at TVE, again in a remarkable work, as the father of Menino Maluquinho, in “Um Menino Muito Maluquinho” (2006).

The actor also worked on subscription channels such as Multishow, with “Adorável Psicose” (2013), GNT, in “Questão de Família” (2014), and on HBO, with the series “Magnífica 70” (2015). Flamengo supporter, Galvão was honored by the team, who posted a recent video on their social networks in which the actor congratulated the club on its 125th anniversary.
