Last updated: September 28, 2020 at 9:31 amYesterday, my daughter and I were on a 4 hour flight to Chicago. I haven’t traveled with her since she was about 6-7 months and let me tell you my daughter was not happy. She cried, screamed, threw her headphones, and everything else you can imagine.
Luckily the couple next to me were very kind and didn’t make a big deal about it. So the last 30 minutes of the flight I was a little overwhelmed trying to calm her down and the woman next to me asked if she could hold my daughter and my daughter was reaching for her. So I said okay sure (it’s not like she could take her off the plane ) and within 2 minutes my daughter was peacefully asleep in her arms.
There’s a lot going on in the world, but I still have faith that all of the hate and racism will just go away. This woman could’ve just went on about her business and put earphones in her ears. She didn’t see color or anything else, she just saw a tired mother traveling alone with an agitated toddler and decided to help. I’ve always seen these kind of posts, but I’ve never experienced anything like this and it was truly amazing. I was so thankful and grateful because lord knows my daughter was doing the most. I’m truly thankful for this stranger’s wonderful act of kindness!
