I mentioned in a recent article, “A US Led Invasion of Venezuela Imminent” that three Venezuelan soldiers have defected and escaped into Columbia.

The good news is that one hundred more have done the same, giving hope to the possibility that there might be a “less bloody” resolution to the crisis faced with Venezuela.

At present, February 24th, 2019, Nicolas Maduro has literally taken Venezuela and Venezuelans hostage. He has closed off all borders, blocked humanitarian aid and even burnt trucks carrying supplies (allegedly).

The socialist dictator has sent troops to all borders and even installed missiles in Santa Elena which are capable of striking targets in Boa Vista – the Capital of the Brazilian State of Roraima.

Self proclaimed interim President of Venezuela, Jaun Guiado, who is backed by the United States and at least 64 other countries, is calling on the Venezuelan military to lay down their arms and allow humanitarian aid into the country.

Presently, the Brazilian Defense Ministry is discussing military action against Venezuela, and the United States say it will announce a “firm stance” on Venezuela by Monday, 25th February, 2019.
