Yes, he did pay for her trip to Paris. Yes, she did tell him, “come over here and take my clothes off.”
When she left to meet him in that hotel room, I’m sure that Najila didn’t expect to simply sip coffee and probably play a game of chess before kissing her “friend” goodbye. No, there was an underlying understanding that “sex” was part of the dinner menu.
So what exactly went wrong? Famous Brazilian heroic footballer now stands accused of rape – an accussation that can deeply hurt his career and spiral his life downward – if he’s not strong enough.
But the real question is: Did Neymar Rape Najila? Millions of people across Brazil and the world are jumping to the defense of Neymar and poking fun at the young model.
I commented under a Facebook Post that was meant to ridicule Najila, “if you don’t know what happened between four walls, don’t speak. Everyone is jumping to the defense of Neymar because he’s a famous footballer, but no one feels the anguish of the victim who might have indeed suffered the physical and psychological trauma of rape.”
Sexual abuse and violence towards women is a natural and carnal instinct embedded within the common man – especially those with lots of testerones. Most men have some sort of fantasy or the other of being sexually violent and abusive towards women – and who’s to say that Neymar is an exception? Who’s to say that he didn’t play out this fantasy on this young woman? Who’s to say that he didn’t make the young lady (as some men would put it) “work” for that money he had expended on her?
The man in his natural element has a tendency to be abusive to women. Hence the need for God in a man’s life.
Women need to understand that when they open their legs for a man they hardly know – or even one they know well – they are also silently consenting to being sexually violated. The exception is when the man truly loves the woman or when there is some fear of punishment.
Hence the stop words beyond which constitutes rape: no, stop, please don’t.
Thousands of women are abused and violated everyday by men. Most of these women do not speak out because of shame, fear of reprisal, the ridicule and stigma that comes with having been a rape victim, etc. It takes a truly strong woman to speak up and speak out after being raped or sexually abused. It takes a woman of strength and stamina to take the stands of trial after such a tramautizing event – especially since this will force her to relive these horrible events.
Victims of rape don’t want to see their abuser’s face again, muchless face them daily in a court of law.
But once again, given all of the above, did Neymar really rape Najila or is she doing this for the money? Perhaps time will tell. Perhaps the police investigations will bring the truth to light. But for now, only God and those four walls of the hotel room truly knows.
Update: Sao Paulo Police Indicts Najila Trindade for Fraud, Slander and Extortion.
