How to Write an Expression of Interest Letter

Sometimes, you may be required to write an “expression of interest” letter explaining why you need something and how you plan to utilize it. Below is an expression of interest I wrote for a five-acre land which I wanted for agricultural purposes.

Re: Expression of Interest for Farming Land in Region 9

Dear Mr. Enrique Monize:

I hereby express my interest in obtaining a piece of farmland in Region 9, preferably 5 acres, in Moco Moco or anywhere else in Central Rupununi, which you may see fit to allocate to me for this purpose of earning an income and providing meaningful and high paying employment for many.

I have a strong passion for farming, especially cash crop farming, and I know that the rich fertile soils of the Rupununi are ideal to fulfill my ambition. My aim is to generate revenues while producing high quality organic produce that are healthy for human consumption. In addition, I hope to provide employment for at least ten farmhands, one administrative assistant, and one accountant. This is on top of all the indirect employment that will be triggered such as in transportation and retailing that will be generated from this farming activity.

I have over 30 years’ experience in organic gardening and farming, and I’m an expert in mixing soil that is so rich that the plants grow and bear fruit two or three times the normal size. You will be amazed to see the results of this farming operation once I get it going. 

To fund this farming operation, I will rely on my savings, personal assets, and existing businesses, which I would be happy to tell you more about. I hope to export most of my produce to Georgetown, but I will also supply the Region 9 population. 

This farming operation will not only put healthy plant based food on the tables of many, but also bring in huge revenues for Region 9. 

I look forward to your timely and speedy response on this matter as I have been longing for a piece of farmland in the Rupununi for a long time to put my extraordinary skills and knowledge to good use.
