Determiners that help us identify WHAT SOMETHING IS, whether we are being specific or general:

Articles – a/an, the

Possessives – my, your, his, her, its, our, their, whose

Demonstratives – this, these, that, those

Determiners that help us identify HOW MANY we are talking about – we also call these quantifiers, as they quantify nouns:

Some, any, no

Each, every, either, neither

Much, many, more, most

All, both

Quantifiers can’t be used interchangeably, for example, “some” is used for affirmative sentences, “any” with questions and negatives; much with uncountable nouns, many with countable nouns, and so on.
