The preposition of agency describes what or who has caused or is causing something to occur. Prepositions of agency include: by, with.
Here are some examples:
1. The well was dug by the man.
2. Her heart was filled with joy.
Note: Prepositions of agency are usually contained in sentences written in the passive voice.
