How Is That Even Possible?

possible photoIn the English language, the letter “i” usually has two possible pronunciations:

  1. Sharp “i” as in “like.”
  2. Soft “i” as in “pin.”

I said, “usually.” Like so many other rules of the English Language, there are exceptions to this rule.

You would never imagine that the vowel “i” would be pronounced “uh.” Uh, um, yea!

Let’s break down the word “pos-i-ble.”

If I say “pos i ble” I’m saying wrong!

The correct pronunciation is “pos-uh-ble.”

It makes you wonder, “how is that even possible?”
