…he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
A few years back, I had a minor medical condition that was worsening. On this particular day, I was not feeling well at all. I was about to go on a vacation, but I worried that I might die on the trip.
I was speaking the RAM pilot, Doug Spencer, who, at that time, was a non-believer in Christ. I told him I wasn’t feeling well.
But while I was speaking to Mr. Spencer, I remembered the story of Moses at the red sea. The enemy was behind, and the sea before. It seemed like God’s people were between a rock and hard place. It seemed like imminent death was impending.
I said to Doug, “but you know, when you trust in God, when you think you’re going to die, that’s when you’re going to live.”
And just like Moses put his rod forth and parted the red sea, and led his people to safety, and destroyed the enemy, I went forward with my trip. Almost miraculously, and with the help of a few herbal medicines, I came back feeling brand new.
I was never sick again for the next few years. However, today, I was feeling a bit weird. But instead of feeling worried, I laughed in the face of adversity. Because I know that, in Christ, there is no fear of sickness or death.
For true Christians, death is only the inevitable and ultimate opportunity for reunion and eternal life with God the Father through our Savior Jesus Christ.
Remember as true Christians, there is no fear of sickness, for when you think you’re going die, that’s when you’re going to live! And when you die, that’s when you’ll enter into life eternal!
