The Light

The light shone into the darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not.

In the old testament of the Bible, the prophet Isaiah prophesies: The people living in darkness has seen a great light.

Jesus is that light. He is the light of the world. Jesus also says, “I am the way, the truth and the life.”

However, in our world today, there are many other “ways” being taught, and many other “truths” being preached. How shall we know which is “truly the truth.”

And that is the importance, as Christians, that we “let our light shine.” When we accept Jesus into our hearts, His light shines through us. We receive the light, and Jesus commands us to let our light shine…so that men might see the light in us and so that we are of the Father, and so come to know God.

We must let our light shine by doing the will of the father: by being those “on the right hand.” So that in the last days, Jesus will say to us, “I was hungry and you fed me, sick and visited me, homeless and you took me in.”
