Ask God for a Little Faith

One of the greatest gifts you can ask God for is faith. The bible tells us that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. You read that right. Faith, although it cannot be seen in the physical realm, is substance.

Faith is the substance of your dreams and those things that you have been praying for. Sadly, as humans, we generally have very little faith. As Jesus said when He walked on earth, “…oh ye of little faith.” In fact, the faith of His disciples was so small that “Jesus wept.”

But the good news is, you can ask God for faith, because the bible tells us that God is a bountiful giver of all good things to all who ask. “Is any of you lacking wisdom? Ask of God who gives generously to all who ask.”

There is not shortage of any good thing in the hands of God. In fact, God illustrated this by drawing the comparison of “evil men” and their children. “Who is there among you, if his son asks him for a loaf of bread will give him a stone? How much more will God, who is righteous, not give good gifts to those who ask?” Further, the bible tells us to “ask and it shall be given.”

Do you lack faith? Your faith may be holding you back from achieving your dreams and living the life of your dreams. Jesus tells us that if we have faith the size of a mustard seed, we can move mountains. We know that “if” we believe, we have achieved, but we don’t know “how to believe.”

Ask God to give you faith so that you can believe in His promises and grant you the things that you have been praying for.
