WordPress Plugins Breathes Life into WordPress.
If you’re building a WordPress site, here are some recommended WordPress Plugins, personally tested by Patrick Carpen, which are useful in giving your website style, class and added functionality.
Ad Inserter – Helps you to insert ads on selected areas of your website.
AddtoAny Share Buttons – Great social sharing buttons for a wide range of social networks, including Facebook, Twitter, Google + and many others.
Akismet Anti-Spam – Helps to filter spam comments from entering your blog, thereby saving you loads of time and keeping your blog clean.
All-in-One WP Migration – Helps you to migrate your blog to another webhost, server, domain etc with just a few simple clicks.
Amazon Product Feeder – For those who wish to link to Amazon Products through the Amazon Affiliate Program and earn a commission for every sale.
Archive Control – Makes your archive pages look a little (or a lot) sleeker but adding or removing elements.
Backup – Backup your WordPress website in case of failure and for peace of mind.
Broken Link Checker – Combs your blog for broken links and informs you of their locations so that you can go and fix or update them. This is usual for the blog in progress, where pages are taken down, renamed and moved to other locations constantly.
Category Tag Pages – For those of us (like me) who are using the brochure-style WordPress style, and are using pages instead of posts. This plugin adds the category functionality to pages, which were originally intended only for posts.
Ceceppa Multilingua – For those of us who want to translate our blogs into foreign languages.
Column Shortcodes – Adds a shortcode to easily create columns on your blog pages or posts.

Font – Change the font of text easily – a wide array of choices available.
Huge IT Slider – A great plugin for creating a header slider which slides selected images across the top or anywhere else on your website.
ImageInject – An amazing plugin which searches the web for free images that you can add to your page or post with just a click.
Insert Pages – Insert pages or posts from your WordPress site into other pages or posts.
Jetpack by WordPress.com – A wide variety of functionality from the creators of the WordPress Software.
JQuery Vertical Accordion Menu – Creates a beautiful vertical menu of pages you select.
Last Updated Shortcode – Stamps the date and time a page was last updated anywhere you place the shortcode: Last updated: October 3, 2017 at 16:11 pm.
Lastest Post Shortcode – Creates a list of your blog’s latest pages or posts, so that readers can see what’s new on your website/blog.
Multisite Cloner – For those create WordPress Multisite Websites/Blogs. This makes it easy to copy all the contents, plugins, settings etc to a fresh blog, so that you can edit it from there into a brand new blog. Usually, I create a template blog with all settings and plugins that I desire, then just copy that and make some tweaks to get a brand new blog.
Nested Pages: A great plugin with drag and drop functionality that helps you to arrange your WordPress pages under menus and submenus.
Network Latest Posts – An amazing WordPress Plugin that pulls all the latest pages or posts from across a WordPress Multisite Network and lists them in one chronological column, so that users can know what’s the latest across the network – at one glance.
Nice PayPal Button – Lite – Gives you a nice PayPal button – as the name suggests, to embed on your WordPress Pages or Posts.
One-Click Child Theme – Create a Child-Theme with just a few clicks.
Page Builder by Site Origin – You’ll be amazed at what you can do with your WordPress pages with just a few simple clicks.
PagePressApp.com Auto Wall Post – Automatically post your new pages to Social Network Pages such as Facebook.
PBP Increase Upload Limit – The size of file you can upload to WordPress is very limited. This puts a great spoke in your web building wheel. PBP Increase Upload Limit increases this limit to 250 MB, automatically – just install and activate the plugin. It’s that simple!
Quick Page – Post Redirect Plugin – Set up a redirect page or post quickly and easily. This is usual especially when you need to make a URL easy to remember. If for example, you want to send readers of your print magazine to your webpage on the HND energy drink, but the HND energy drink’s URL is located at: www.patrickcarpen.com/brazilian-products/hinode-products/well-being/hnd-energy-drink/, you can easily create a memorable redirect URL like: www.patrickcarpen.com/hnd, and that redirects to the deeper link with all product information.
Revision Control – Usually, when you update a WordPress post of page, WordPress will store the old revision up to an unlimited number of posts/pages. This can easily bog down your website with too much trash. The Revision Control lets your tell WordPress how many revision versions to store. I usually set mine to no more than 3 revisions.
RSS Includes Pages – Originally, RSS functionality was limited to posts, but now, thanks to this great plugin, it can work on pages too!
Shortcodes by Angie Makes – Gives your blog a wide variety of useful shortcodes which do a wide variety of things.
Simple Facebook Plugin – Now your readers can see a glimpse of your Facebook Fan Page, like it or go to it, right from your blog. The widget lets you just add this to the side column of your WordPress site.
Single Latest Posts Lite – Let readers get a glance of the latest pages/posts on your blog.
Social Locker by Locker Cat – Lock content which unlocks only when readers like, tweet or share your pages on Social Networks. Great for the snowball effect.
Super RSS Reader – Displays RSS Feeds in an attractive way.
Super Socializer – A great plugin for social sharing and commenting functionalities.
Swifty Image Widget by WPGens – Simple yet powerful Widget for Images, Testimonials and Advertising Banners.
Theme File Duplicator – Clone template files from the WP backend. Go to Appearance -> Add Page Template
Transposh Translation Filter – Translation filter for WordPress, After enabling please set languages at the the options page Want to help? visit our development site at trac.transposh.org.
What the File – What The File adds an option to your toolbar showing what file and template parts are used to display the page you’re currently viewing.
