Have you ever wanted to transfer files such as music, photos, documents etc between your phone and personal computer? I guess most of you use a cable to connect the two. But did you know that you could also wirelessly transfer the files using bluetooth technology.

Most you know probably know that bluetooth is a technology that allows you to transfer files between two smartphones. But did you know that it also works for Smartphone to PC?

Yes it does! And while most techies probably knew this a long time ago, I am writing for the chosen few, not so tech savvy, computer users out there.

The fact is that most laptops, windows 7 and higher, come equipped with bluetooth technology that allows transfers of files between the two devices.

I always used to use  a USB cable. But sometime back, my phone stopped being recognized when I plugged in the cable. I desperately needed to transfer some pictures from my smartphone to my laptop, so I started exploring other avenues.

I soon found out about bluetooth for PC and smartphone.

Here’s the deal. Turn on your phone’s bluetooth. Go to your computer’s control panel and you will also find the setting for bluetooth under “devices and printers”. Just follow the instructions for turning on the bluetooth on your PC and pairing it with your phone.

Then follow the simple instructions for completing file transfer.
