Here’s a beautiful song by an American singer which speaks to a large fraction of young people in our world today. Sadly, not all children grew up in the right environment or were nurtured with the right words of empowerment.

Sadly, in many instances, parents are responsible for sending the wrong messages to their children. Many children experience negative results in life because they were “programmed” that way by authority figures. As parents, and even teachers, we need to be careful of what we say to and around our children. Speak life and empowerment into them and those words will help shape their realities.

The good news is that even if you were talked down by humans, you can listen to the voice of God. He can change your reality for the better. You can believe what God tells you. This beautiful song by American gospel singer Lauren Daigle perfectly demonstrates reliance on and redemption in the voice of God.

I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I’m not enough
Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up
Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low?
Remind me once again just who I am, because I need to know, ooh ohYou say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
And You say I am held when I am falling short
And when I don’t belong, oh, You say I am Yours
And I believe (I), oh, I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
I believeThe only thing that matters now is everything You think of me
In You I find my worth, in You I find my identity, ooh ohYou say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
And You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, oh, You say I am Yours
And I believe (I), oh, I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
Oh, I believeTaking all I have and now I’m layin’ it at Your feet
You’ll have every failure God, You’ll have every victory, ooh ohYou say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, oh, You say I am Yours
And I believe (I), oh, I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
I believeOh, I believe (I), yes, I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
I believe (oh)
