Some people are unreasonable, uncaring, and unselfish. There is no denying that. But these people sometimes pretend well. Some of them want you to fall or to be below them. They secretly sabotage you while pretending to love and care for you. People pretend well.

Well Jesus walked on earth, He instructed us, “if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it away from you; for it better to enter to heaven with one member short, instead of hell with your full body intact.”

Indeed, Jesus would never encourage us to destroy our precious, God-given body which is a precious gift from God as well as the temple of God who dwells in us. Conscience alone will tell us that this instruction is meant to be interpreted metaphorically. The hand and eye that Jesus referred to may be sinful habits. It may even be people close to us: friends, family, acquaintances….

The bible teaches us that anger is a dangerous emotion which can easily lead us to sin. And science that anger has a deteriorating effect on every organ our body and also our well-being. If there are persons around you who consistently drive you to anger, you are strongly advised to “cut those off your life entirely.” First talk to them calmly. Advise them that what they are doing is wrong and show them how. If they refuse to accept, apology and change, you would be well advised to remove them from your life. Completely. Cut them off.

A garden can only flourish if it is planted in rich, fertile soil, and free from parasites, pests, and diseases. In the same way, you as a human being can only flourish if you are standing on good grounds with good people around you.

The bible commands us to “be joyful always.” We cannot be joyful if there are people in our lives who are constantly trying to belittle us, drain our energy, and take advantage of us. To achieve and lasting success, your mind must constantly be fixed on images of success. And that cannot happen if there are people constantly undermining you, disrespecting you, and provoking you. Anger destroys every aspect of your well-being while positive emotions such as joy and peace strengthen and enrich you.
