Peace of mind can be a magical experience, but experiencing perfect peace of mind can be a challenge for many. We live in a world of constant conflicts. We are often bombarded by the negative statements of others, misjudgments, and unfair dealings. Sometimes we find it hard to sleep at nights. But as Jesus explains, worrying about things don’t change them at all, and worrying makes no sense. Understanding this is the key to perfect peace.

On many occasions, I lost a lot of sleep due to the stupidity of others. People often make unfair statements to and about us. Trying to correct people can be a laborious, time and energy consuming, and often futile task. If God wants you to correct someone who misjudged you or was otherwise unfair to you, He will present an opportunity for you to do so. In that case, speak to the person in a gentle tone and try to convey your sentiments accurately without exacerbating the situation.

But sometimes, this isn’t possible, and if you notice trying to correct a situation is only making it worse, it’s better to move away from it. Remember, it’s not your duty to educate the willfully ignorant. Try your best to correct misunderstandings in a peaceful way. But if it’s becoming problematic, it’s better to leave it all into the mighty hands of God. The secret is to disconnect entirely.

Here is an affirmation to help you achieve perfect peace just before falling asleep, and wake up to a beautiful and productive day.

As you lie in bed, repeat the following, truly believing in every word:

I am perfectly at peace with myself, the universe, and everyone else.
What anyone thinks about me has nothing to do with me, and I'm perfectly OK with any misunderstandings and misjudgments people may harbor about me. That's their problem, not mine. My mind is in perfect bliss, and completely disconnected from everyone else. I'm in my own bubble of tranquility. As I go to sleep tonight, my creative mind will prepare me for a beautiful and productive day ahead.

And that’s it. Quit worrying about what people think about you, what they say about you, or what they might be thinking or saying about you. It’s not always worth your time and energy to correct everyone as it sometimes sink you deeper into the hole. Walk away from stupid, ignorant, jealous, and unfair people. There is no need to try to get even. Leave them to fall with their own weight as you rise in your own glory.

If someone dealt you a wrong hand, and deprived you of money or possessions, don’t get worked up about it. If there is no clear and easy legal course of action to recover your losses, let it go, knowing that that value will leave the hands of the robber and find its way back to you. As the bible says, “cast your bread upon the waters, and after many days, you will find it back.”

Achieving perfect peace is absolutely not caring about what others think or say of you. Achieving perfect peace is addictive. Do it now.
