You may be living your life right: fasting, praying, giving to those in need, and trying your best to obey the commandments of God. Then out of nowhere, a troublemaker arises and starts attacking you for no reason.
If you are a child of God, you may wonder why this is happening to you. After all, you’re doing everything right to the best of your abilities. But as Christians, the Bible makes it pellucidly clear that this part of life. Don’t be amazed when you come under evil attack. But count on one thing: God’s divine protection.
The bible tells us that, “God is our strength and refuge, a very present help in trouble.” This verse not only assures us of God’s divine protection against the wicked, but it implies that as children of God, we are not free from the attacks of the wicked. What we are assured of is that God will be “our strength and refuge” and a “very present help” in trouble.
Through our troubles and trials, and when the wicket persecute us without cause, we will see the very hand of God protecting us, and that same hand turning against our enemies because God is a God who is “wanting to show His Wrath and to make His power known.”
Throughout my life, I’ve held my peace when the wicked rose up against me without a cause, and I’ve seen the power of God over my life. Most of my enemies apologized some time afterward, and some begged for forgiveness.
We must understand that there are people in the world who believe there is no God, who trust in material things and worldly power, not knowing that they are just a pitiful soul trapped in a decaying body.
Remember, if the mountains tremble before God, imagine how much more pitiful your enemies will be.
