In the book of Ecclesiastes, the preacher laments, “I have seen servants on horses and princes walking the earth as servants.” These words of wisdom imply that the ability to rule or govern a nation cannot be taught, and not because someone was named a leader they have the qualities of a leader. The intellect required to be a ruler is something you have to be born with. Most of the world’s sufferings today is the result of servants of horses…people who do not have the intellect to rule but somehow manage to juxtapose themselves into the seat of government.
This happens when bloodthirsty and greedy men seize power through violence, or even when the children of a king were not gifted by God with the qualities required for leadership, but assume the throne anyways.
Because of the lust for power, true princes, who have the potential to create prosperous nations, are often left on the sidelines. But as the waters of a river finds its way to the sea, no matter the distance nor windings, so a true prince shall find his way to throne when the time is right.
