Parishara is an Amerindian settlement located in the central Rupununi Savannahs of Guyana. It has as neighbors the settlements of Nappi and Hiowa.
Parishara is located about about 30 minutes’ drive from the town of Lethem.
The population of Parishara is approximately 500 people and consists mostly of the Macushi Tribe of Amerindians. There is also a small number of Africans and mixed race.
The main economic activities in Parishara include cattle rearing, casava farming, plantain farming, peanut farming, fishing and hunting. There is also a small peanut production facility in Parishara.
There is one Primary School, one nursery school and one health center in Parishara.
There is a reservoir used for aquaculture in the village of Parishara.
