Are You Going to Flag Raising Tonight?

On the 26th of May, every year, Guyana celebrates Independence from the British Crown. Flag Raising Ceremony is done on the midnight of May 25th to commemorate this historic event. Flag raising ceremony entails lowering the British Union Jack and hoisting the Guyana Golden Arrow Head.

This event is done in various parts of the country at the same time and date each year. One year, a friend of mine called to ask if I was going to attend the nearby flag raising ceremony. Click the link above to hear my response and read our conversation.
