A Warm Welcome to Manaus

We stopped right at the driveway of my friend’s mom, where I would be staying for the course of the holiday. They hugged me and welcomed me to Manaus.

Not too long after, my friend Micaella arrived. She said that she was sleeping at her home and when she awoke, she got alarmed to see 30 missed calls on her phone. Socorro was so worried for me, she kept calling until she got through to Micaella, and informed her that I was there waiting. Micaella called back Socorro and thanked her for her help and concern.

Micallea drove me for miles all over Manaus. She took me to the Wizard School of languages in the morning, and in the night, she took me to Ponto Negra – Manaus’ most Popular Beach – popular in the night as well as the day. It was a beach and recreation park. There were thousands of people at Ponto Negra.

The first night, Micaella brought along two of her friends – a young beautiful couple. They walked behind us. But every time I turned back, they were kissing each other. They were so in love.

On the 25th of May, 2016, Micaella arrived at her mother’s house where I was staying. She told me to get ready. She was going to take me for a tour around the city.

After saying goodbye to her mom and grandpa, we drove off to the city. Micaella made a detour twice to show some apartments to some potential buyers. And I took the opportunity to take some pictures of the environs of the neighborhood. When that was over and done, we headed once again for the center of the city. Micaella told me that we were going to visit Manaus’ biggest shopping mall.
