Jesus Our King

crown photoJesus Our King – A Poem by Patrick Carpen

The fire loses its heat,
The grave its victory,
And death its sting,
With Jesus Christ our King.

The fishes gather
In his net
The bread multiplies
At his command.

The raging storms
calm
At the gesture of His palm
The sea obeys
His every command.

Swords break
And peace spreads
Like a refreshing wind.
That graces the land.

The hills shout
The trees clap
The nations sing the praises
Of Jesus Christ our King.
