These guys sat down and decided that software should be available to even those who can’t shell out the big bucks, but who still need to get their work done.

They created the open source software project. Open source software is constantly being improved and updated by engineers, doctors, scientists, coders and other high-level intellectuals the world over. As a result, many open source software have exceed proprietary software greatly in quality.

As a matter of fact, this website that you are reading was built using Free Open Source Web Building Software: the king of them all: WordPress. I’ll tell you more about that later.

For now, here are just a few of the Open Source Software that I recommend, that you can download free, and that you don’t have to pay for, and which are better than their paid competitors, and also are constantly being improved in real time.

Apache Open Office – Free alternative to the paid Microsoft Word Office Suite.

Filezilla – Free Open Source File Transfer Protocol Software for web developers.

GIMP – Free photo editing software, intended to be an alternative to the extremely expensive Photoshop.

More will be added later. Do check back later, like my Facebook Page, and subscribe to my newsletter.
