David was a\u00a0biblical prophet and devout servant of God who lived many generations before the birth of Christ, the Messiah. He ruled over God’s people for forty years and was buried in the city of David.<\/p>\n
He is\u00a0called the “beloved of God”, “God’s favorite” and “the chosen of God” because God loved him and called him to great things.<\/p>\n
God preserved and protected David from all his enemies and promised to establish his throne forever.<\/p>\n

In the eyes of man, it would appear that David committed many atrocities but he was fast and sincere in repentance when corrected by God and only God knows the heart of man.<\/p>\n
David was first called to build a temple for God, but God later instructed him not to do so, but to let his son, Solomon, build the temple, because there was too much blood on David’s hand.<\/p>\n
