Emily Dickinson is considered one of the greatest poets of all time. She was born in the United States of America<\/a>, in the state of Massachusetts, in the city of Amherst.<\/p>\n

She was born in the year 1830, about 184 years ago at the time of this writing (2014).<\/p>\n

Like most great poets, Emily Dickinson was passionate about writing<\/a>, and more particularly, writing poems. It is my belief that she started studying literature<\/a> from a young age and writing it as well.<\/p>\n

Poems tend calm, soothe and evoke deep and beautiful emotions within the mind of the reader and it is this quality that make them widely loved and treasured.<\/p>\n
