Police have detected extensive area of \u200b\u200bburnt forest in the rural property. Most barrels found can hold up to 200 liters of fuel. Police officers caught two farm officials in possession of a drum with gasoline and gallons of diesel oil. All the material was seized \u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police said the farm hired 50 men to clear 20,000 hectares in the Trunfo do Xingu Protected Area. Investigations have shown that the group has already cut down and set fire to more than 5,000 hectares of land on the farm. The seizure of the gallons of fuel occurred during a police operation to enforce a search warrant in the rural area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police tried to enforce three arrest warrants issued against Geraldo Daniel de Oliveira, son-in-law of the ranch owner and appointed as the mastermind of the burning and clearing of the forest, Jos\u00e9 Brasil de Oliveira and Jo\u00e3o Batista Rodrigues Jaime, who were also responsible for the arson. They were not found and are at large. During the search on the farm, police arrested in the act Paulo Henrique Santos Marques for having a legal caliber 38 revolver.
