There is power in numbers not only because numbers simplify our lives, but there is literally power in numbers. It is the number of votes, for example, which puts a president in office.<\/p>\n

Imagine if you were to face a military opponent with only a few soldiers, you might be nervous about the war,but if your army totaled a few million, and the opponent is only a few thousand, they might quickly surrender. That’s because “there is power in numbers.”<\/p>\n
