The cylindrical shaped batteries that are used in remote controls, toys, etc, is called “pilha.” Here is a picture of what Brazilians would refer to as pilha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/patrickcarpen.com\/learning-portuguese\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/74\/2022\/02\/battery-ged9f95828_640.jpg?resize=640%2C426&ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-369\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/patrickcarpen.com\/learning-portuguese\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/74\/2022\/02\/battery-ged9f95828_640.jpg?w=640&ssl=1 640w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/patrickcarpen.com\/learning-portuguese\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/74\/2022\/02\/battery-ged9f95828_640.jpg?resize=300%2C200&ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a>
English: Battery.
