A Guyanese<\/a> man traveled to the United States.<\/a> At the entry point, he was detained by government officials and police who requested to see his VISA.<\/p>\n

“I do not have a VISA,” replied the man. “But the President of Guyana<\/a> said that you must let me pass freely. Also, I need a villa in front of the ocean, a job that pays at least 5000 USD per month and my own personal security.”<\/p>\n

The officials started to laugh a little, looking confused. “And why should we give you all those things?” they stammered. “When did your president say that and on what grounds?”<\/p>\n

The man pulled out his passport in anger and opened the front page. “Which school did you go to?” he shouted. “I went to the University of Guyana! Look! Skin your big eyes and read here!”<\/p>\n

It read:<\/p>\n

These are to request and require in the name of the President of the Republic of Guyana<\/a> all those whom it may concern to allow the bearer to pass freely without let or hindrance, and to afford the bearer such assistance and protection as may be necessary.<\/p>\n
