<\/p>\n\n\n\nOn the 10th of December, 2018, NBC News reported that Russia sent two nuclear-capable strategic bombers to Venezuela after a visit to Russia by Maduro. <\/h6>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\nWith the humanitarian crisis deepening in Venezuela, and Venezuelans fleeing and dying of starvation, what could possibly be the purpose of two nuclear bombers?<\/h6>\n\n\n\n

As one of my Facebook friends commented \u201cthat\u2019s for Guyana<\/a>\u2026why else would they send it?\u201d The question is, “is Guyana <\/a>ready to receive this Christmas present?”<\/h6>\n\n\n\n

<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\nSome time ago, Brazil <\/a>announced it\u2019s position on the Guyana\/Venezuela border dispute, declaring that it will not tolerate Venezuelan aggression on Guyana\u2019s shores. That was President Michel Timer. The new President, Bolsonaro has not issued a statement on the matter as yet.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n
But even if Brazil <\/a>is still willing to defend Guyana <\/a>against Venezuelan aggression, the question still remains: Is Brazil <\/a>willing to enter into an all-out war with Russia – the world\u2019s second most powerful military? If it does, at what expense of money and human lives will that be done? And for what possible gain? More than likely, Brazil <\/a>will NOT go to war with Russia for Guyana<\/a>.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n
But what about the United States? The United States of America has already expressed its stance on the border controversy, stating that it is on Guyana\u2019s side. <\/h6>\n\n\n\n
But with so much trouble already on Washington\u2019s hands, is it really ready to get into another costly war with Russia? And can the United States really beat Russia in a military conflict? <\/h6>\n\n\n\n
While the United States\u2019 military is generally stronger than that of Russia, the United States still has a lot to fear. First of all, Russia boasts more nuclear warheads than the United States. Russia also has 4 times more total artillery, 5 times more self-propelled artillery and 4 times more rocket artillery than the United States.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n
While the United States has over 6000 tanks, Russia has over 20,000. <\/h6>\n\n\n\n
On the other hand, the United States far overpowers Russia in air power, but even so, is the United States willing to enter a potentially devastating war against nuclear Russia and Venezuela over Guyana’s oil? Hardly.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n
While most of Guyana <\/a>are excited about their imaginary \u201cfirst oil\u201d in 2020, Caracas hasn\u2019t withdrawn its stance that the Essequibo belongs to Venezuela. Remember, Venezuela has nothing to lose, and now, with Russia on it\u2019s side, they are capable of just about anything.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n
If you doubt Russia\u2019s capability of backing Venezuela against Guyana<\/a>, do some research on what the Russians did to their own brothers and sisters in Ukraine, what they did in Crimea and what they’re doing in Syria, and you\u2019ll deduce that they will have no reservations about launching an attack against Guyana<\/a>.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n
Considering that it would take only one nuclear bomb to wipe Georgetown <\/a>completely off the map, and with the threat of Russian and Venezuelan air power looming over Guyana\u2019s head like the sword of Damocles, you can be sure that if Venezuela commands Guyana <\/a>to halt oil production, it will. And Guyanese <\/a>will once again learn the old proverb they learned in primary school – don’t count your chickens before they are hatched – but this time, they will learn it the hard way.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n
<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\nOr how about if Guyana <\/a>continues to pump the oil and Venezuela drops the bomb? Then EXXON can take whatever is left of the oil without paying any Royalties.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n
Or could this be a secret ploy between the United States and Russia so that the United States can add \u201cMilitary Services\u201d to the already exorbitant oil contract? I doubt it.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n
Earlier this year, President Granger announced that he has put aside a part of the 18 million US Dollars sign-in bonus to “fight” the border controversy at the International Court of Justice. <\/em>President Granger had said that he hopes the ICJ will rule in Guyana’s favor and that Venezuela would “respect” the ruling.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n
