Most of us are familiar with the classic Grimm Brothers Fairy tale, Cinderella. Cinderella’s fairy godmother saved her from a life of drudgery by waving a magic wand, transforming her life from one of servitude to a glorious princess overnight. Wouldn’t praying for things that God has already provided us with make a mockery of God?
If one doesn’t watch his diet and exercise, can you expect God to give him or her perfect health? Can one walk on hot coals and not be burned?
Yes, God is a miracle working God, but He also calls us to be wise, obedient to the laws He has laid before the foundations of the earth, and pray for a miracle when our backs are against the wall.
