I can’t say this is true for all states or all cities of Brazil<\/a>, but when I was in Campo Verde<\/a>, Brazil<\/a>, I was really impressed with the food<\/a> served at the “marmitaria”.<\/p>\n

It was presented “buffet style” and there was a wide variety of meats, vegetables, pastas, fruits and rices. This ensures there is no shortage of vitamins and minerals in the digestive system, and perhaps there is no need to take vitamin supplements if you eat regularly\u00a0at a restaurant like this one.<\/p>\n

For a little over ten reais (5 USD), you could have a full plate, complete with a beverage, and the best part is, the ice cream is free for dessert, and you could also eat all of\u00a0it\u00a0you want.<\/p>\n

When I came back to Lethem<\/a>, Guyana<\/a>, I would sometimes buy a small cup of ice cream for about 2 USD after lunch. It reminded me of the restaurant back in Brazil where customers take all the ice cream they could digest, virtually for free.<\/p>\n

And while buying ice cream or eating it for free is not really an issue for me, it highlights just how far ahead and how much richer Brazil<\/a> is to my “dear land of Guyana<\/a>“.<\/p>\n
