Have you ever wondered why so many students suck at English<\/a>? It’s because English<\/a> sucks; and when something sucks, you suck back at it; and that’s the plain, simple reason why so many students suck at English<\/a>. But does English <\/a>suck? Isn’t the English <\/a>language one of the world<\/a>‘s most beautiful and powerful languages?<\/p>\n

Absolutely. So why does it still suck? It’s because of the lousy job that the textbooks out there do at communicating the concepts of the English <\/a>language. The English <\/a>textbooks leave too much to be desired. Often, the concepts are so obscure, you would see better through a thick fog than the through the idea being presented to you.<\/p>\n

Many books on the English language<\/a> need a serious rewriting. As a teacher of English<\/a>, I’ve come across English <\/a>textbooks that contain blatant errors, and many that do not deliver the concept properly. I’ll be discussing some of these here, and for starters, let’s look at:<\/p>\n
