So we’ve just deleted the Slide Anything Plugin because it wasn’t living up to expectations.<\/p>\n

Now it’s time to install the Smart Slider 3 Plugin and see how that works. We’re already in the WordPress Plugin Repository and I figure by now you know how to get there. If not, please reread the previous lesson, “Deleting the Slide Anything Plugin.”<\/p>\n

As you can see, we’ve typed in our Keyword and the plugin pops up to the top. Let’s take a closer look.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

As you can see highlighted above, the Smart Slider 3 Plugin has 498 ratings averaging 5 stars. It is being used on over 200,000 websites and it was last updated about one month ago.<\/p>\n

I would say that that is pretty impressive. Don’t you think?<\/p>\n

Great. So let’s click the “Install Now” Button, and then the “Network Activate” button which will show up after you click “Install Now.”<\/p>\n

And that’ it! Our plugin is now activated and ready to use! What’s next! Let’s use it!<\/p>\n

Let’s head over to our website’s Dashboard: My Sites >> The Amazonas Hotel in Lethem >> Dashboard.<\/p>\n

Now that we’ve installed this plugin, we will see something new appearing in the left hand column menu: it’s a button to the smart slider plugin, as you can see highlighted above.<\/p>\n

Just click on that button, and it will load a new page.<\/p>\n

It looks something like the screenshot above. Let’s explore the settings first.<\/p>\n

So I’ll click on Settings. A new page loads.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

As you can see, we have four types of settings to configure:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. General Settings<\/li>\n
  2. Framework Settings<\/li>\n
  3. Fonts<\/li>\n
  4. Item Defaults<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    We’re presently looking at General Settings. Let’s see our options.<\/p>\n

    \"\"<\/p>\n

    And you know what? I’m not going to adjust anything the General Settings right now.<\/p>\n

    Let’s take a look at Framework Settings.<\/p>\n

    \"\"<\/p>\n

    And there you go! You know what? I won’t change any Framework Settings for now either. I’ll leave all those at their default settings.<\/p>\n

    Let’s check out “Fonts.”<\/p>\n

    And I also won’t touch any of the Font Settings for now.<\/p>\n

    So let’s look at “Item Defaults.”<\/p>\n

    And I won’t change any of the Item Defaults Settings either! This is probably because I have never used this plugin before. After I start making an inserting slides I might have a better idea as to whether I should adjust some settings.<\/p>\n

    So now that I’ve checked out all my settings, and I see that are all OK for now, let’s go back to the main Dashboard by clicking the “Dashboard” button towards the top of the screen.<\/p>\n
