From your WordPress Dashboard, you can create a menu to help users navigate your website easily.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most essential menus of the website is the Primary Menu. The Primary Menu might contain buttons such as:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Website Homepage &#8211; Click this to return to the homepage of the website.<\/li>\n<li>Contact Us &#8211; Click this to learn how to contact us.<\/li>\n<li>About Us &#8211; Click here to learn about us.<\/li>\n<li>Privacy Policy &#8211; Click here to read how we treat information you input on our website.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For the website we&#8217;re presently, we may add the following buttons to the Primary Menu:<\/p>\n<p>5. Our Rooms &#8211; Click Here to Learn about Our Rooms.<\/p>\n<p>6. Tourism Services &#8211; Click here to learn about our Tourism Packages and Options.<\/p>\n<p>7. Blog &#8211; Click here to head over to our blog where we post about exciting things that happens in our business.<\/p>\n<p>If the menu gets too long, we can always divide it into two: A primary menu and a secondary menu. The Primary menu might include the more basic links such as about us and contact us. And the secondary menu will contain the more exciting stuff such as &#8220;Tourism Services&#8221; and &#8220;Our Rooms.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So let&#8217;s go ahead and create a menu for our WordPress Website.<\/p>\n<p>To do that, we once again log into our WordPress Dashboard by typing hotelamazonasgy.com\/wp-admin<\/p>\n<p>Then we type in our username and password and click &#8220;Log in.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Once in the WordPress Dashboard, click on &#8220;Appearances &gt;&gt; Menus.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-672\" src=\"http:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/1-21.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"133\" height=\"204\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now a new page loads which gives you the option of creating a new menu.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-673\" src=\"http:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/2-18.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"729\" height=\"266\" srcset=\"https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/2-18.png 729w, https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/2-18-300x109.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 729px) 100vw, 729px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>OK so the first thing we&#8217;re going to do is give our Menu a name.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-674\" src=\"http:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/3-18.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"435\" height=\"108\" srcset=\"https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/3-18.png 435w, https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/3-18-300x74.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 435px) 100vw, 435px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After that, we click on the &#8220;Create Menu&#8221; button located towards the right side of the page.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-675\" src=\"http:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/4-17.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"253\" height=\"124\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After we click the &#8220;Create Menu&#8221; button, a new page loads.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-676\" src=\"http:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/5-15.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"884\" height=\"401\" srcset=\"https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/5-15.png 884w, https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/5-15-300x136.png 300w, https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/5-15-768x348.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 884px) 100vw, 884px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This new page gives us several further options. One of those options is to select the display location.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-677\" src=\"http:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/6-15.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"552\" height=\"172\" srcset=\"https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/6-15.png 552w, https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/6-15-300x93.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 552px) 100vw, 552px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Do we want it to appear the very top of the page? Then we would click &#8220;Top Menu.&#8221; No. I want this menu to be the &#8220;Main Menu,&#8221; which I guess will appear just under the header image. I can always change these options later.<\/p>\n<p>Do I want to automatically add new pages to this menu! Yes! I do have a few other pages to create for this hotel website such as &#8220;Tourism Services,&#8221; &#8220;The Amazonas Restaurant and Bar&#8221; and a few others, and I&#8217;d like them all to show up for easy access. on this menu.<\/p>\n<p>Remember, I can always remove buttons from the menu any time if it becomes overcrowded.<\/p>\n<p>So let&#8217;s select our options.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-678\" src=\"http:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/7-15.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"525\" height=\"162\" srcset=\"https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/7-15.png 525w, https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/7-15-300x93.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 525px) 100vw, 525px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There you go. Our options are now selected.<\/p>\n<p>Now it&#8217;s time to add some pages to this menu.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-679\" src=\"http:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/8-12.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"306\" height=\"359\" srcset=\"https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/8-12.png 306w, https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/8-12-256x300.png 256w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 306px) 100vw, 306px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And I think I&#8217;m going to add just about every page there on to the menu.<\/p>\n<p>So I just select them all and click the &#8220;Add to Menu&#8221; button.<\/p>\n<p>And now, you can see them added:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-680\" src=\"http:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/9-11.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"380\" srcset=\"https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/9-11.png 491w, https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/9-11-300x232.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>OK, that looks great. But if you notice, some of the buttons have too many words on them. That is because the page&#8217;s title are used as the button label. But we can always change this by clicking the &#8220;down arrow&#8221; located at the right of the button.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-681\" src=\"http:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/10-10.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"432\" height=\"139\" srcset=\"https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/10-10.png 432w, https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/10-10-300x97.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 432px) 100vw, 432px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once you click that, it opens the drop down box and you can now change the text in the &#8220;Navigation Label.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So let&#8217;s change that to simply &#8220;Contact Us.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-682\" src=\"http:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/11-8.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"437\" height=\"128\" srcset=\"https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/11-8.png 437w, https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/11-8-300x88.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 437px) 100vw, 437px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And as you can see, it changes at the top as well.<\/p>\n<p>So we&#8217;ll also change the Welcome to the Amazonas Restaurant and Bar button to &#8220;Homepage&#8221; using the same technique.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-683\" src=\"http:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/12-6.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"304\" srcset=\"https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/12-6.png 480w, https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/12-6-300x190.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As you can see, our Menu now looks a lot neater and sweeter. But there&#8217;s still something amiss here. The buttons are not ordered properly. First of all, &#8220;Homepage needs to be the first button. It should be in this order:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Homepage<\/li>\n<li>Our Rooms<\/li>\n<li>About Us<\/li>\n<li>Contact us<\/li>\n<li>Privacy Policy<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>So we&#8217;re going to rearrange by dragging and dropping.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-684\" src=\"http:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/13-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"453\" height=\"292\" srcset=\"https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/13-4.png 453w, https:\/\/patrickcarpen.com\/computers-and-internet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2018\/08\/13-4-300x193.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 453px) 100vw, 453px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And there we go! Much neater and sweeter isn&#8217;t it?
