<\/p>\nOK, so let’s go ahead and do some simple customization to the Bard theme I have installed for my hotel website project.<\/p>\n
I guess you know the route by now: hover over “My Sites,” then the site you’re working on, that is “Amazonas Hotel, Restaurant and Bar,” then Click on Dashboard.<\/p>\n
Next, hover over Appearance and then click “Customize.”<\/p>\n
So we have arrived at the theme customization screen once again.<\/p>\n

So, I’m not going to touch the About button because I don’t want to purchase the theme at this juncture. You only purchase a\u00a0 theme after you’re fully satisfied and absolutely impressed with it to the point you want to support the creators and unlock the extra features. For now, not recommended.<\/p>\n
What about colors? I won’t change any colors as yet.<\/p>\n
I’ll also skip General Layout for now because the General Layout of the theme is OK for me for now.<\/p>\n
Top Bar – Let’s open and see what it has to offer. So I click on the “Top Bar” button.<\/p>\n

And as you see, it gives the option of including a top bar just above the header image by ticking a check box. So I’ll decide to include that, so I’ll tick the checkbox and I’ll click the left arrow to return to the main menu.<\/p>\n
I’m also not going to interfere with the header image or the site identity for now. But I want to make some changes to the Main Navigation, which is what you see below.<\/p>\n

As you can see in the picture above, the main navigation has a search bar, and I don’t need that for a hotel website. It also has two other icons to the left, one is called a random post icon and the other is called sidebar icon. I don’t need those at the moment, so I’ll open up Main Navigation and untick the boxes next to those items.<\/p>\n

As you can see in the picture above, the three check boxes are ticked, and I’ll go and untick them.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
So now, I’ll just click the left pointing arrow to exit this option. Now I’m back to the main customization menu.<\/p>\n
For now I won’t touch “Featured Slider” or “Featured Links” because I don’t need them at this point.<\/p>\n
So, below are the remaining set of customization options that I have left.<\/p>\n

And, as a matter of fact, I’m not going to touch any of them for now. So let’s just save the few changes that I made and exist. To do that, I just click the handy “Publish” button seen towards the top of the Customization Menu.<\/p>\n

Great, so now my changes have been saved and I can now exit the customization menu.<\/p>\n

Great, so I exit the customization by clicking that handy “x” at the other side of the “Publish” button.<\/p>\n
And now, I’m back to my Dashboard.<\/p>\n
