Sometimes, I write an article that really gains traction and gets shared thousands of times. And then, it’s fun to watch the stats in the WordPress Backend as the article goes around the world.<\/p>\n
But I also feel the need to let my visitors see how popular this article is and how many times it has been read. And this calls for installing a “front end” hit counter on the page of the article.<\/p>\n
There are several ways of doing this, including using a WordPress plugin. However, I decided that the easiest way of getting this task done is by using an HMTL hit counter code. There are several websites which offer this service free, and all you have to do is copy and paste the code at the top of the article, or anywhere else you would like to let the hit counts show up.<\/p>\n
