Only a few decades ago, humans depended on Hollywood and Bollywood studios for their share of entertainment.

Those cleverly done movies churned out by the greatest video producers on earth amazed the minds and hearts of many.

Hollywood often depicted humans doing superhuman things, as in “Superman,” imaginary happenings of aliens coming to earth as in “Independence Day,” and what would happen if machines gained consciousness as in “The Terminator.”

Bollywood was not to be left behind. And I can remember as clear as day the movie in which Mithun stoped and pushed a driving car backward with human strength, and the one in which Amitab Bacchan did unbelieving magic on screen.

My dad had a hard time explaining to me how they were able to do all these “camera tricks,” but I finally understood.

Fast forward to the year 2015 and a lot has changed. With the advent of YouTube and other tube websites, along with various social networks, and seeing awe inspiring videos has become an everyday occurrence. And what’s more striking is, “this time it’s real!” Yes, many of these videos I will feature here are amazingly real. And they were not made in Hollywood or Bollywood, but by ordinary people like me and you.

So, with all that in mind, I dare to dig up the most amazing videos on the uhh…planet, and present them to you here in “Amazing Videos.”
