It must be noted in the history of India, that Arab conquests in India caused a large part of that nation to be ruled by Muslim Arabs. These Arabs are a distinct race of people characterized by fixed physical features. These include a straight pointed nose, batting ears, ruddy skin, about 6 feet in height, powerfully built, black hair and brown eyes.

Through intermarriages (or intercourses) with members of Tamil and caucasion origins, many east indians became “mixed” with the Arab race, although they are not pure Arabs. Arab features may lie dormant in these offsprings or gleam through their physical composure.

In the country of Guyana where I grew up, where East Indians came as indentured laborers to work on the sugar plantations, most East Indians who were mixed with the Arab race would carry a muslim name or be of muslim background, since the Arabs were muslims, and many of them kept their religion even after intermarriage.
