design photoI would have titled this article, “The World Demands the Innovative Entrepreneur,” but I would have missed the point slightly. The world today, as always, demands all kinds of entrepreneurs, and all kinds of innovators.

Today, too many people are waking up to the daily grind. Too many people are waking up to being bossed around. We’ve all heard the saying: a boss is like a diaper, full of sh*t and always on your ass.

And we’ve all heard the saying, “build a better mousetrap, and the world will beat a path to your door.”

A great man once said, “if you don’t program your own mind, it will be programmed for you.” Sadly, today, millions of people are being programmed for all the wrong reasons, and in all the wrong ways.

Too many youths are coming out of school and going to college hoping to get a “good job,” at the end of it all. And too many young people are getting disappointed by the system.

The world just doesn’t seem to financially lavish the “working class.” Sadly, capitalism, which is driven by greed and competition, pushes employees one against the other in a race that is bound to become exhausting and frustrating.

But who are the people that will live the life of their dreams? It is the innovator and the entrepreneur. The person who improves a product, markets a product, improves a system or builds a better system. It is the discoverer: one who gives birth to an idea, an intellectual nugget right under the dust of a field that many a brain plow has gone over – to be the first – that is the idea.

In the world of commerce, industry, science, technology and so much more, there is still so much work to be done. There is still so much to be made better.

Yes, it’s OK to go to work. It’s OK to earn a daily bread. But the entire universe reaches out and pushes forward the innovator and the entrepreneur. Will you be next?
