With today’s steadily evolving smartphones, tablets and mini computers, one could easily wonder if the Personal Computer is facing extinction. The computing machines seem to be getting smaller, smarter and more mobile by the minute.

So what will be the fate of the once much-loved, much-treasured, and almost indispensable Personal Computer?

According to researcher and information technologist Patrick Carpen, the Personal Computer isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. And no, it’s certainly not going to be replaced by any of those handy gadgets that various technological companies keep churning out.
