Now that we have a general idea of what a WordPress Plugin is, let’s take a look at the few plugins that we already have installed in our hotel website’s WordPress Installation.
To do this, first login to the WordPress Dashboard: hotelamazonasgy.com/wp-admin, enter username and password, click “Log In.”
Once inside the Dashboard, click on “My Sites >> Network Admin >> Plugins.”
This lands us in our Plugins Dashboard Page.
That’s a list of all the plugins we presently have installed in our WordPress Installation. 1. Akismet – a spam-fighting plugin that comes automatically with a WordPress Installaion.
2. Hello Dolly – A Plugin of no practical use which we will soon delete.
3. Jetpack – A suite of plugins created by the developers of WordPress themselves.
4. Loginizer – A security plugin which helps to deter brute force attempts to login to your WordPress.
5. TablePress – a plugin which installed to create a table for our “Our Rooms” page.
Trust me, we will need a few more.
See you in the next lesson: The Loginizer Plugin.
