You’ve probably heard that “children learn by doing.” But that is not only true for children. It is true for just about any age of learner. And it for this reason that I recommend that you actually put into practice what you learn in these lessons.

This course walks you through creating a very simple WordPress website, but the skills you acquire through this course can be used for just about any type of website.

To successfully complete this course, I recommend you actually build a website by following each step of each lesson.

While your website may be different in purpose and idea than the examples shown in this course, you can adapt what you learn to build the type of website you need. If you decide to follow each lesson to the letter, remember that you  can always go back and edit each page of your website as well as the title and tagline to suit the website that you’re actually building.

For example if you’re building John’s Pet Shop website, when the Lesson says, “type into the title ‘Welcome to the Amazonas Hotel,’ you type in ‘Welcome to John’s Pet Shop’.”

Regardless of what approach you take, it is recommended that you actually register a domain name and build a website along with the tutorial.
